Our Company History
Bringing Color To Life for Three Generations
As young boys, Mission Hills brothers Michael and Patrick Chism learned the skills of painting under the apprenticeship of their father Milton Chism, himself a San Diego painter since the 1940s. While they finished their military service and started college, the brothers continued to hone their craft working for the legendary La Jolla contractor, Otto Welp. Upon the sudden death of Mr. Welp, they branched out on their own and in 1982 founded Chism Brothers Painting.
Since its inception, Chism Brothers Painting has strived to become the leading residential painting company in San Diego by consistently providing exceptional quality and dependable service. The company prides itself on employing only those of exemplary character and training them as craftsmen, time and again exceeding the quality and service expectations of their discerning clientele.
